The load index (LI) is a 2 or 3 digit number that corrolates to the maximum amount of weight the tire can carry. For example, a tire with a load index of 87 indicates that the tire can carry a maximim load of 1,201 lbs. In the case of our example the 87 identifies the tires ability to carry a maximum of 1,201 lbs. So 4 tires will carry a maximum of 4,804 lbs. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for the recommended minimim Load Index. It is not recommended to install tires with a lower Load Index. By doing so, this could cause your tires to be overloaded thus potentially causing a blowout.

Speed Ratings (SR) are based on laboratory tests and indicates the maximum speed the tire can achieve. These tests are based on limited time trials. Higher speed rating tires typically will yield better handling capabilities, but may often result in lower mileage. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for the recommended minimum Speed Rating. It is not recommended to install a tire with a lower speed rating as it could affect the handling of your vehicle. It is important to note that speed ratings only apply to tires that have not been damaged, altered, under-inflated or overloaded. Additionally, most tire manufacturers maintain that a tire that has been cut or punctured no longer retains the tire manufacturer's original speed rating, even after being repaired because the tire manufacturer can't control the quality of the repair.

The UTQG rates tires are rated on their tread-wear, traction performance, and temperature resistance. Directional tires - roll in only one direction, must be mounted properly. Once mounted they must remain on the same side of the vehicle, and only be rotated front to rear.

First set of Coopers.....good choice. Got to test them in the Colorado snow w/i hours of installing them....impressive! Lots of tread and yet very stable. A bit harsh on rough pavement and concrete joints, but a good trade off. Just put 2,000+ miles on, with a fairly substantial load onboard, and know I made a wise choice. As to the value, delivery, and dealing with Tires-Easy.....you can not do better!

Basically, I purchased a set of two Cooper Evolution HTs for the truck and liked them so that when the wife's car developed a broken belt in an old tire, I brought a front set of two Cooper Evolution Tours. The garage attendant mounted the two tires on the rims and after setting it on a tire level, showed me that neither needed a weight added.

Good So Far
I've only put a few thousand miles on these tires so I can't rate wear characteristics. They ride smoothly and seem to corner well, but I haven't really pushed them to tire squealing limits. These tires are mounted on an '89 Honda CRX, so it is a very light car - approximately 2100 pounds - they might act significantly differently on something bigger and heavier. Price and delivery was very good. My only concern is how to handle a claim, but I've had very few tire problems in 50 years and over a million miles of driving so I'm not losing sleep over it. I had called Discount Tire and talked to them, but when I told them the Giga Tires price the guy told me to just buy from them.

These are great tires for a great price.
Tires are smooth riding and not noisy. I have them on a 2004 Honda Civic 2 door. Fairly good in rain and up to 2 inches of snow. I have had hem for about 3 months.

I was able to obtain these tires at an excellent price and I am quite happy with how quiet they are and how well they grib the road on my 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. If they can last anything close to their stated mileage of 60,000 (I would be happy with 45,000 miles) I will be quite happy.
