Sidewall | BSW |
Describes the sidewall appearance. Examples: BSW= Black Side Wall, WSW = White Side Wall OWL = Outlined White Letters.
|
Load Index | 90 |
The load index (LI) is a 2 or 3 digit number that corrolates to the maximum amount of weight the tire can carry. For example, a tire with a load index of 87 indicates that the tire can carry a maximim load of 1,201 lbs. In the case of our example the 87 identifies the tires ability to carry a maximum of 1,201 lbs. So 4 tires will carry a maximum of 4,804 lbs. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for the recommended minimim Load Index. It is not recommended to install tires with a lower Load Index. By doing so, this could cause your tires to be overloaded thus potentially causing a blowout.
|
Speed Rating | W |
Speed Ratings (SR) are based on laboratory tests and indicates the maximum speed the tire can achieve. These tests are based on limited time trials. Higher speed rating tires typically will yield better handling capabilities, but may often result in lower mileage. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for the recommended minimum Speed Rating. It is not recommended to install a tire with a lower speed rating as it could affect the handling of your vehicle. It is important to note that speed ratings only apply to tires that have not been damaged, altered, under-inflated or overloaded. Additionally, most tire manufacturers maintain that a tire that has been cut or punctured no longer retains the tire manufacturer's original speed rating, even after being repaired because the tire manufacturer can't control the quality of the repair.
|
Load Range/Ply Rating | Not Available |
Ply Rating is related to the max load capacity. This value can be defined with a letter or number. The higher the number/letter, the higher the load capacity.
|
UTQG | 220AAA |
To help consumers evaluate their tires, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) created the Uniform Tire Quality Grading System (UTQG). The UTQG rates tires are rated on their tread-wear, traction performance, and temperature resistance. The grade for each of these can be found on the sidewall of your tire (except for winter tires and certain light truck tires). Click here for more information.
|
Max Single Load(lbs) | 1323 | The maximum load this tire will support. Remember to multiply this number by the number of tires installed on your vehicle to get the maximum carrying capacity. This number is directly related to the Load Index. |
Max Single Air Pressure(PSI) | 44 | The maximum air pressure this tire will support. This does not represent the amount of air pressure your tires should have at all times. Consult with your owner's manual to determine the best air pressure you should use for your vehicle. |
Tread Depth | 8.0 | The amount of tread on the tire. Once the tire is worn to 2/32nds, it is considered fully used and should be replaced at that time. Most tires will have tire indicators in the grooves of the tire to help you determine when the tires are worn down to 2/32nds. |
Tread Design | Directional |
Nondirectional - most common, same tread pattern on inside & outside of the tire. Can be rotated to all four corners of vehicle. Asymmetrical - tread pattern is different on the inside to the outside of the tire, and must be mounted properly. Can be rotated to all four corners of the vehicle. Directional tires - roll in only one direction, must be mounted properly. Once mounted they must remain on the same side of the vehicle, and only be rotated front to rear.
|
Rim Width Range | 8.0-9.5 | The approved wheel rim width range this tire will support. |
Measured Rim Width | 8.5 | The recommended wheel width as recommended by the tire manufacturer to get the best wear us performance for this tire. |
Section Width | 9.4 | The measurement from sidewall to sidewall. |
Tread Width | 8.5 | The measurement from one side of the tread to the other side of the tread. |
Overall Diameter | 24.4 | The height of the tire when fully inflated. |
Manufacturer Part Number | 95CL7A | Manufacturer part number (sku) |

Amazing grippy tires!
Great tires in the rain and dry and absolutely a lot of grip. I have a straight piped S14 so noise on the tires isn't noticeable until deceleration at around 40mph I'm running these RS-R in the rear while my fronts are RS-RR Definitely will buy again in the future.

Daily/track
Tires are really great, had them for a little over three mo the or so, I’ve put about 10,xxx miles on these and two track events tires handle pretty good compared to the RSRR’s which are more sticky; but love these 595 RSR’s. Some may tell you to not cheap out on tires for track events or daily driving but I’ll tell you they perform well. This isn’t some made up tire review so you can check out my Instagram. -ClassiqueCaesar

Great value for the money!
I've had these tires on my car for a couple months now. They hook very well and feel very responsive on the road. They really don't have that much road noise either which is a plus. I drive almost 100 miles a day to and from work, so as you could imagine, I've already put a couple thousand miles on them and I still have plenty of tread left! My only real complaint is that they are not the best in water. I live in Houston, Tx and when it rains (which is all the time) I usually have to end up going like 20 mph under the speed limit on the highway or I start hydroplaning quite terribly. Other than that, I love these tires and will definitely be buying another set when My current ones wear out.

Best for this price range
For under 600$ these are the best tires I’ve ran on the frs, great daily handling and can handle light track duty on top of that. Highly recommend

Great Tire
Had these on the rear of an E30 track car with the "RR" up front. The combo worked well for my style which is very tail out. Wear well and have great dependable grip.

Great tire
Great tires for the price. No complaints

Really nice tire
Definitely helps put the power down and reduces spinning

Great purchase
Easy to order and got here in less than a week. Would recommend for anyone needing tires. I put these on a 9.5x18 wheel and they were stretched a little. But just what I personally wanted.

Sticky federal tires
Love the new tires, they have great grip in corners and a nice quiet ride. The new larger 255 size on the front of my 350z has improved steering issues and gives it better braking too

These tires are great
I had no idea that these tires would be so quiet on a nice road. They feel very smooth and you just wanna coast and enjoy the nice pleasant and quiet sound of these tires!

Great tire for the price
I bought these for my civic hatchback because I was having traction issues, these grip way better. I can take corner alot harder and even launching the car I can hit a higher rpm without alot of wheel spin

Great grip at a great price
I haven't gotten a chance to go to an HPDE event and see how these are at a road course/track. I also haven't been to the drag strip yet to see how they behave from a dig on a prepped surface. HOWEVER I have done about 5 autoX since I got these tires and I am very happy with how grippy and how well these tires communicate with me. During an autocross event at the Tire Rack test track these were grippy enough to get me 3rd place in my class. Their biggest downfall is their grip on the wet, and specially on heavy rain. On my way to South Bend, IN there was a storm, at 70 mph you will hydroplane, even at 60 the steering wheel felt pretty loose. Had to slow down to just under 50mph to feel contact with the road again. For the price these are amazing, just be careful in rain. 10/10 recommend for a budget track enthusiast, would not recommend for a daily.

Great yore
Great tire for racing in my stock class.

Great tire for the price; very grippy and great for a straight line

Tires are great
Great tires. Great price. Lots of grip.

Amazing
I drive a 2007 WRX (lightly modded). Handles better than expected; minimal road noise and tram-lining. Great wet traction, especially at temp. Reminds me of Goodyear Eagle GT wer traction as far as predictability and hydroplaning. Handles best at 35psi cold pressure, warms up to 38-39lbs. Stiff sidewalls and a little "meaty" which I like if I'm on dirt. If on dirt, drop to 32psi cold pressure, big difference. I WILL be buying more.

Awesome cheap tires for auto cross
Used these for auto cross and daily them during the summer. These definitely made a huge difference for auto cross! They are loud but it’s bare-able.

Amazing set of tires
Amazing grip at any speed and weather conditions, very quiet tires especially compare to the size of those monsters. Price is just unbeatable, you can get an expensive name brand that will cost you double or triple them those and you will get less for you $, I highly recommend this, I use them on STI and they make the car few levels better! Thank you gigs-tires for the super fast 2 day shipping and wonderful customer service, you earned a client for life!

Great Sport tires.
Great tires for the price, very grippy and nice.

Greatly priced performance tire!
Bought these to mount on spare wheels for the track. They hook really good (can actually launch on the street and track), and do good in corners. It's basically a Toyo R888, but cheaper. Has soft tread to grip, but not to soft. Federal makes awesome tires!
